Description
This jar is hand thrown in cream stoneware clay and the dog on the lid is hand sculpted. The simple leaf design is made from painting liquid wax onto the unfired clay surface of the jar and then the whole surface covered with brown iron oxide colour and fired. The wax burns off in the kiln, leaving this attractive soft focus decoration.
The base of the jar is dishwasher and microwave safe, but the lid needs to be hand washed.
