Description
This delightful stoneware bowl is hand thrown and hand decorated in pale and light blue underglaze colours. The fishes are painted onto the raw clay surface using the wax resist method of decoration. This is where liquid wax is applied to the raw clay surface and the whole piece is then covered with colour. The wax burns away during the firing process, revealing this very effective soft focus design.
The bowl is made from tough high fired stoneware clay and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
