Description
This beautiful piece is handmade using a dish from a 19th century dinner service as a press mould. The design is made using the wax resist method of decoration. This is where liquid wax is painted onto the raw clay and then the whole piece is covered with colour. The wax burns off during the firing process, revealing a pleasing soft focus design.
The dish is made from tough high fired stoneware clay and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
