Description
This attractive mug is handmade from high fired cream stoneware clay. The simple leaf decoration is inspired by a beautiful ancient drawing I saw on a rock at Uluru in Australia, where there are some of the oldest rock paintings in the world. The design on this mug is made by painting liquid wax on the unfired clay surface and then covering the whole area with black underglaze colour. In the kiln the wax burns away, leaving this attractive soft focus image.
